June 5, 2025 | Mumbai – Director Ayan Mukerji, known for Brahmastra, is stepping into new territory with War 2, and he’s fired up about it.
“It’s intense, full of emotion,” Mukerji said when asked about the script. But it’s not just another spy film, he insists. “This is a complete reimagining of the genre.”
The film, part of the growing YRF Spy Universe, stars Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. in lead roles. Mukerji said he’s focusing on global-level action sequences, but not at the cost of depth.
“What excites me is mixing large-scale patriotism with real, emotional characters. You’ll care why they fight,” he added.
If the buzz is any indication, War 2 could become one of the most ambitious Bollywood action films ever made.
