Govt Extends ITR Filing Deadline to September 15, 2025

The Government of India has officially extended the ITR (Income Tax Return) filing due date for FY 2024-25 from July 31 to September 15, 2025. This move comes as a relief to millions of salaried and business taxpayers who were facing difficulties in compiling financial data.
As per the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), the extension applies to individual taxpayers not requiring audit. This decision aims to offer convenience and prevent last-minute server issues.
Taxpayers are advised to file their ITRs before the new deadline to avoid penalties or late fees under Section 234F.

भारत सरकार ने आयकर रिटर्न (ITR) दाखिल करने की अंतिम तिथि को 31 जुलाई से बढ़ाकर 15 सितंबर 2025 कर दिया है। यह निर्णय उन करदाताओं के लिए राहत भरा है जो समय पर विवरण एकत्र नहीं कर पा रहे थे।
यह छूट उन व्यक्तियों पर लागू होगी जिनके खातों का ऑडिट अनिवार्य नहीं है। सरकार ने यह निर्णय तकनीकी समस्याओं और भीड़भाड़ को रोकने के उद्देश्य से लिया है।
करदाता समय रहते अपनी ITR फाइल करें ताकि किसी भी तरह के लेट फीस या जुर्माने से बचा जा सके।
