Indians Top UK Visa Charts in 2025 Migration Surge

May 23, 2025 | London – Indian nationals are making headlines again — but this time, it’s for leading the latest wave of migration to the United Kingdom.

According to data released by the UK Home Office, Indians received the highest number of study and work visas so far in 2025.

Over 1.42 lakh Indian students were granted visas to study in the UK — a 15% jump compared to the previous year. That’s not just a number; it’s thousands of lives changing direction.

At the same time, more than 74,000 skilled Indian professionals — from IT experts to healthcare workers — also received UK work visas.

Analysts believe this rise has a lot to do with the post-Brexit visa changes and the India-UK mobility agreement, which has made it easier for young Indians to move abroad.

“This is more than policy — it reflects India’s growing global influence,” one London-based migration expert said.
