BJP Clinches Majority in Lok Sabha 2024; Modi Set for Third Term

In a decisive victory, the Bharatiya Janata Party has returned to power, winning 282 out of 543 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin a third term, with a strong mandate from voters.

The Congress gained 135 seats, while regional parties like TMC, AAP, and DMK made moderate advances. Voter turnout reached 68.2%, with youth participation notably high.


State-wise Highlights:

  1. Uttar Pradesh: BJP swept 64 out of 80 seats
  2. West Bengal: TMC held strong with 20 seats
  3. Tamil Nadu: DMK led with 30+ seats
  4. Delhi: AAP retained 6 of 7 seats
