New Delhi – The NEET PG 2025 examination, originally scheduled for June 15, has officially been postponed. The decision came after the Supreme Court directed the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to hold the test in a single, unified shift to ensure fairness.

Several students had approached the court, raising concerns over inconsistent exam timings and their potential impact on merit and rankings. Responding to these concerns, the court instructed NBEMS to rework the schedule.

An NBEMS spokesperson stated that new dates will be released shortly, and candidates should monitor the official website for updates.

“This move ensures equality for all examinees,” said an NBEMS official. “We are committed to a transparent process.”

The delay is expected to affect counseling and admission timelines for postgraduate medical seats across the country. However, education experts say students should take this opportunity to reinforce their preparation and follow any new guidelines issued by the board.

Why It Matters

The NEET PG is a critical step for medical graduates in India. While the postponement may cause temporary stress, the goal is to ensure a fair and consistent assessment for everyone involved.
