Operation Sindoor: India Faced Air Losses, Says CDS Chauhan

New Delhi, May 31: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan confirmed that India suffered initial setbacks in the air during Operation Sindoor, a high-priority counterterrorism mission launched in the Kashmir Valley. Speaking to reporters today, he acknowledged the early air losses but declined to disclose specific operational details.

Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Offensive in Kashmir

Launched in response to escalating threats in the Jammu and Kashmir region, Operation Sindoor is being hailed as one of India’s most significant military offensives in recent times. It focuses on dismantling terror networks entrenched in mountainous terrain, particularly around Pahalgam and Anantnag.

Although the government has remained tight-lipped about the complete scope of the operation, it is known to involve coordinated efforts by the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and intelligence agencies.
